A sacred clearing of the heart
On Sunday morning, I received the gift of a deeply healing private sound bath and energy session from a dear friend and her partner. The experience was nothing short of transformative. As I lay there in stillness, I began to feel a tightness in my chest and a strange sensation across my face—like spider webs being gently brushed away. It was as if energetic debris was being lifted, piece by piece.
Afterward, I took a cleansing shower to physically and spiritually rinse away what no longer served me. My friend shared that she could feel a heaviness in my heart and sensed blockages in my crown. Her insight deeply resonated.
The next day, clarity began to rise. I realized that I was still carrying resentment toward my ex-husband—resentment not just from our past, but from the exhaustion of solo parenting, managing daily responsibilities alone, and navigating financial burdens that were meant to be shared. Even though I’ve long moved beyond the pain of our relationship, the lingering resentment—especially around unmet expectations—was quietly weighing down my heart.
And that weight was beginning to affect my connection with my daughter. The constant focus on struggle was dimming my ability to fully experience and create joyful moments with her.
Healing is not instant. It’s a sacred unraveling, especially when you're working to break generational patterns. But I am grateful for the awareness surfacing now, because it is through that awareness that true healing becomes possible.
There is no room for love where hurt and resentment take up space. And so, I continue the work—clearing space in my heart, moment by moment, to let love in.
